Half Engraved Gold Plated Tie Slide

Half the face carries a scrolling engraved pattern, worked in fine lines against a darkened ground. The other half is left plain and polished, so the bar catches the light along its length. It is an old arrangement and a useful one: enough detail to be noticed, not so much that it competes with the tie.

The finish is gold plated, and the slim rectangular bar suits most tie widths. A fold-over back slips over the tie and the shirt placket, holding both in place through the day. Worn between the third and fourth buttons, it sits where a jacket will frame it.
